In the winds whispering I hear your voice
The sun shone down, struck my brow
your caress, yet felt the warmth
Hail to thee ! In day in night !
Your voice is all about me!

Wicca has been the most resilient of all the Western Pagan religions thought eradicated with the coming of Christianity. It is the fastest growing religion of all the newly revived earth based religions, and is embraced by many young and idealistic teenagers, as well as many adults. Often though, Wicca's passive and loving way of thinking is scoffed at and trod upon by many "Good" christians. Wiccans made known, for the longest time, and still today, are often the object of ridicule and religious intolerance. Even though the wiccans profess that they worship a lunar god and solar goddess (the male and female aspects of earth), they are often equated with "Satan" by many closeminded Xians.

Wicca's main law is "harm none" and so most Wiccans are peaceful and pacifistic by nature, if society would let be, they'd normally be very happy, as would we all, but someone is always trying to steal the little happiness garnered by their neighbors. It is a cruel trick of society as I know it, offering such peace to those closeminded and hateful curs, whose only joy it would seem, is tormenting others. Often in my experience, those who are hated, are often so because they possess one or both of two common flaws: they have clear vision, or they take no joy in causing hurt.

Wiccans use a particular form of magick which often finds the base of its power in the very earth upon which we stand. Because of their affinity with nature, wiccans have an almost endless supply of energy to draw from, although most use what is commonly known as "personal power", which involves the conversion of energy from a physical to a non physical form.

Wiccans have a somewhat stylized form of ritualism that may accommodate many practioners at once. Often those wiccans lucky enough to belong to a coven, have the cumulative energies of the entire group to aid them. Many times, a wiccan ritual will involve one "director" and several "raisers". Each raiser takes a position around the sender and directs his own energies into them. The director then absorbs this energy, visualizing the goal of the ceremony, and waiting until the influx of power grows almost too great to withstand, he releases it.

Wiccan ritualism has many parallels to ceremonial magick, although most wiccans utilize a lower form of magick, known as folk magick, which involves the recitation of various charms and the simple, symbolic manipulation of ritual devices. This type of magick is more intuitive as only the thought that an act of magick is being performed, actually raises the necessary power.

Below I have included a few links to various wiccan sites, if you have any suggested links, I encourage you to submit them, using the form I have provided in the "webmaster" menu.

Catala's Rescources
Anywhere from images, to occult shops, to neo pagan groups, an excellent page.
Sun Dragon Wiccan Page
A bit mainstream for my tastes(not to mention bright and cheery), but still a good page, it has the "wiccan law" in its beginning, so make use of this reference.
Wicca: What is it? What is it not?
A well designed page, again a little bright for my tastes, but still, quite well done, and informative.
