The above lines summarize in short the beliefs of all neo kabalists. The Kabalah(also spelled Cabala and Qabala), is a system of high magick, that has many similarities, both in power and form, to druidism. Having its roots in Orthodox Judaism, the kabalah has grown far beyond the restrictions this religion had once put on it. The kabalah can be combined with any religion, or can draw from none. The Kabalah takes the principles of magick that the wiccans, and low magicians use intuitively and fashion it into a hard, if artful, science. Having many theorems, and set methods, the kabalah requires close study, and much experiment, as well as MUCH interpretation. Often the sheer intricacy found in much of the symbolism that the Kabalah presents is mind boggling to say the least, I myself have nearly torn the pages from the sources I've read, so perplexed did I find myself at some points. The key to the kabalah is simply this: be patient, and be diligent, and most importantly DO NOT GO AHEAD !! I have had VERY bad experiences, caused mostly by my own stupidity and eagerness to condense into 2 weeks what takes many 2 decades to learn! If one follows instructions, thinks out each and every move (except in emergencies) before making it, then one shall truly prosper in this very broad and intricate art.
The kabalah has several subdivisions, which are marked mostly by the difference found in their symbolism, and their permutations of the various methodoligies. Among the various subclasses of Kabalah their exist : Enochiana, Hermeticism, Orthodox Kabalah, Chaoticism, and Gnosticism. Along with these major classes come an innumerbable collection of Traditions which modify, combine and expand on the basic principles common to all. The most well known, and probably most extensive of all these is the Golden Dawn. The Golden Dawn is a still existing order of Magicians that perpetuate and append all facets of the kabalah, and often blend many other types of dogma with them. There are two existing branches of the Golden Dawn that I am aware of the Thelemic or Crowleyian order, and the Hermetic order which is the oldest. The Golden dawn offers personal proctors, lodges, materials, and initiation.
The main focus of all kabalistic work is the union of with divinity, also called the Great Work. Different classes of Kabalism achieve this is different ways. Enochian Magick teaches that by invoking the various angels and absorbing their better traits, while traversing the various aethyr's in order to explore both your own mind, and the depths of your soul, is the best way. Hermeticism and Othodox Kabalah place emphasis on ritual, invocation, and the manipulation of the sephiroth. Chaoticism and Gnosticism are both subjects I have VERY little knowledge of and so I will not mislead the reader by claiming to have any clue as to the nature of these arts.
Operations common to all forms of Kabalah(although not to all practitioners as some require far more study than others) include( and are not limited to): astral projection, invocation, evocation, banishings and purifications, healings, materialization, pathworkings, the balancing of dualities, and many more.
I have found few links on the net worthy of posting that describe the internet,
however I have included the links to a few different organizations and book publishers below,
remember when delving into the Western Mysteries, never take anyone else's word over your
own intuition, it only leads to failure, and even sometimes, mental or even psychological harm.
